Ah, Tableau Conference season – the time of year when everyone releases some amazing tools which are then featured during the conference.
Here are 3 that have recently been made available.
PortalSearch: an alternate way to search your Tableau Portal https://community.tableau.com/docs/DOC-10015
TLV: The Tableau Log Viewer – a Desktop-based tool to help you read logs, for the Mac and Windows: https://github.com/tableau/tableau-log-viewer
Logshark: A tool that will automatically parse and make sense of your Server (or Desktop) logs. This thing is a Sharknado of awesome. https://github.com/tableau/Logshark/releases
The latter two projects have been in use @ Tableau for a while, and I love them – they make me seem smarter and save me sooo much time. Now I’ll seem dumb again, but whatever.
